Creating a Family Portrait From Separate Photos
You do not need one perfect group photograph to start. You do need the right composition and a recognizable reference for every person who will appear.

Count the people before choosing the scene
Our family collection includes compositions for three and four people. A three-person template provides three subject positions; uploading a fourth photo does not create an extra position. Choose the layout that matches your group before thinking about costumes or background.
Look at the actual arrangement too. A close parent-and-children composition tells a different story from a two-row palace portrait. Pick a scene whose relationships and proportions fit the people you want to include.
Give each person a usable reference
Choose sharp photographs where each face is fully visible. Avoid mixing a crisp modern headshot with a very small, blurred scan if a clearer alternative exists. The studio accepts up to four photos, which can include separate references rather than one shared image.
Keep age and appearance in mind. If the portrait should show someone as they look today, use a recent reference. If it celebrates a particular time, choose photos from that period and check the interpretation carefully.
Review identities one at a time
Check the preview systematically: first confirm the headcount, then inspect each face. Make sure the AI has not duplicated a person, merged features between siblings, or changed a child's apparent age.
After checking individual likenesses, look at how everyone fits together. Compare head sizes, shoulder positions, and the balance between front and back rows. A convincing setting is not enough if one family member is inaccurate.
Choose the print after approving the group
Select a canvas size and frame only after you are satisfied with the faces and composition. Group portraits contain more facial detail within the same canvas area, so think about how far away the picture will be viewed.
Use the sizes currently available in the studio and measure the intended wall. The on-screen preview helps with the decision, but it is not a substitute for checking the listed physical dimensions.
