AI Oil-Style Canvas vs. a Hand-Painted Oil Portrait
Oil-style artwork and a painting made with physical oil paint are not the same product. Here is what our process does—and what it does not promise.
By the LumaKeeps team
Our portrait begins as digital artwork
You choose a template and upload reference photographs. AI uses the template's composition and your references to generate a new digital portrait. The painterly texture you see is part of the image, not evidence of a brush physically applying paint.
Because the result is generated, likeness and small details can vary. The preview is the point at which you decide whether the interpretation is suitable before selecting a physical print.
The physical product is a canvas print
When you order, the approved artwork is prepared for the selected canvas product and frame option. It is not sold as an original oil painting, and we do not claim that an artist hand-paints each portrait.
A digital image can suggest brushstrokes through color and shading. That is different from the raised, physical paint texture that may be present in a traditional oil painting. Choose a hand-painted commission elsewhere if physical oil paint is essential to you.
The preview gives you a different decision process
Our process lets you examine generated artwork before ordering the canvas. Check the actual faces, pet markings, composition, and crop rather than relying only on gallery examples.
Gallery templates demonstrate art directions, and illustrative mockups show possible display settings. Neither should be mistaken for a verified customer photograph or a guarantee that every reference photo produces the same result.
Buy the product that matches your expectations
Choose an AI oil-style canvas if you like a particular generated result and want it as printed wall art. Choose a traditional artist's commission if you specifically want a hand-worked original and that artist's personal painting process.
Before checkout, review your selected size, frame, total price, and current delivery information. The distinction between the two products should remain clear throughout the purchase.
