The photo T-shirt handbook
Place artwork for the actual garment
Avoid the neckline, short hem and armholes. A crop, V-neck or tank needs more than a resized adult-tee poster.
Start with the cut
Use compact compositions for short crop tops, leave room below a V-neck and keep wide lettering away from a tank's armholes. Artwork suggestions are editorial starting points, not proof that every template has been print-tested on every product.
Check the whole graphic
Keep faces, names and decorative details inside the editor's print boundary. Do not stretch a portrait to fill a different-shaped area. A tall collage may need a new arrangement rather than cropping off a face or reducing all the text until it is unreadable.
Preview is not a physical sample
Garment photographs show the product cut; artwork thumbnails show design templates separately. Screen color and illustrative previews can differ from the physical print. Inspect position, scale, product color and print side before placing the order.
