Choose Photos That Make Better Portrait Sweatshirts

The template supplies the composition; your photos supply the people or pets. Clear references and the right subject count matter more than decorative effects.

Start with the original

Use the original well-lit photo instead of a screenshot, filtered social-media download or enlarged thumbnail. Faces should be large enough to inspect. A modern phone photo often works well, but more pixels alone cannot repair blur, hidden eyes, cropped ears or heavy shadows.

Keep identities separate

For a double-pet or family design, provide a clear reference for each distinct identity, up to four source images in this studio. Explain who is who if the subjects look similar. Two photographs of the same dog are still one dog; a two-dog template requires two different pets.

Match the medium

A photo-journal template retains photographic treatment; a line-art template simplifies the face into contours. Both should resemble your references, but AI interpretation can alter details. Check every face, pet marking and the exact count in the generated result before continuing to the editor.

Direct photo printing is a separate choice

You do not have to generate art. The product editor accepts an original photograph or your finished design, which you can crop and place yourself. Choose this route when keeping the original picture matters more than transforming it into a new illustrated or template-led composition.

A face you know. A layer you'll reach for.

Make everyday personal.
